I am very sad to hear about Allan. I was Allan's platoon commander and then battery XO in Pershing. He was a good friend and made some trips to Munich with our family. He even loaned us his Mercedes for a trip. It was full of rust but ran like a top. Our family was together recently and we talked about Allan. They still get a laugh over the story about Allan accidentally shooting the TV at Mutlangen missile storage area with his Army issue 45. Allan was Officer of the guard. Last time I saw Allan was he and family visited us in Copperas Cove, TX when I was at Ft Hood. PLEASE CONTACT ME

My deepest sympathies to the Cusack family,

I served with Captain Cusack during his Pershing Days and fondly remember just how fair, honest, nice, and genuine he was. It was my honor to serve with him during our time together and our paths would cross as I was I was assigned as a member of the BMRI Team (Brigade Material Readiness Inspection).

Capt. Cusack always had a kind word and was generous with his wisdom. The Capt. was a great soldier, but more importantly to me, he was great man. It was my pleasure, and honor to have known him.

May the Grace of God go before him and may His peace be shed upon this family, and that peace which passes understanding, be given in very generous portions, Amen.

Thank you for your message of sympathy. Allan and I met while both of us served in Pershing.. There are fond memories of our time in Schwaebisch Gmund together. We had the opportunity to visit several years ago while our son was stationed in Germany. My how things have changed!
