Mr. Charles “Charlie” Ricks Lang, age 79 of Meridianville, died Friday at a local hospital.  A native of Madison County, he worked as an electrician.  He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Mattie Lang, son Ricky C. Lang, grandson Jason D. Waldron, and two brothers, R.D. Lang and Emmet Lang.

Mr. Lang is survived by his loving wife, of 59 years, Mary Lou (Shasteen) Lang; daughter Linda Pridmore, and husband Tom; two sisters, Louise Sisk and Jean Adams; two granddaughters, Shallon Rogers, and husband Brian, and Stefanie Baker, and husband Nathaniel; grandson, Ricky C. Lang, Jr. and wife Jennifer; seven great-grandchildren, Nathan, Blake, Alex, Abbi, Blair, Kaylee, and Mia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family will receive friends Saturday 5:00 until 8:00pm.  Funeral service will be Sunday at 2:00pm in Spry’s Chapel with Rev. Billy N. Taylor officiating.  Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
