Dorothy Jean Atchley, age 73 of Hazel Green, passed away May 14, 2017 at a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents George W. Woods and Ora Belle Woods, one sister Jewerl Buck, and grandson Miles Jeffery Talley.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Atchley; son Jeff Atchley; 2 daughters, Regina King (Chris), and Kathy Eldridge (Chris); 2 brothers Ray Woods and  Terry Woods, 3 sisters; Ann Craig, Pam Hyatt, and Donna Woods, 7 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 6 great granddaughters, and 1 great grandson, and a host of family and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of  Huntsville where the family will receive friends on Wednesday 5-9pm.  The  funeral service will be held Thursday 2:30pm at Elkwood Holiness Church.  Mrs. Atchley will lie in state one hour prior to time of service at the church.  Burial will follow in Elkwood Holiness Church Cemetery.
