Floyd Milford Clark, 89, of Huntsville passed away Saturday night.  Visitation will be from noon to 2:00 pm Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home.  The funeral service will immediately follow with Dr. Bobby Burt officiating.  Interment will be at Huntsville Memory Gardens. 

Floyd was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mary Kathlene Clark; his mother, Esther Wright Clark; his father, Rubin L. Clark; his brothers, Jonathan B. Clark, Coy Houston Clark; and his sister, Aubrey Jean Hayes. 

He is survived by his daughters, Shelia Joy Garst (Barry) of Birmingham, Nelda Elaine Hiley (Jim) of Madison, and Belinda Kay Courtney (Rick) of Meridianville; his son, Tim Dale Clark (Sherri) of Athens; his brother, Jesse Frank Clark; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Floyd was born in Poinsett County, AR, but he grew up in Fayette County, AL.  He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II.  He earned a BS and MBA in General Education from the University of Alabama.  He taught school and continued his career working with the Army Ballistic Missile Agency and NASA, Marshall Space Flight Center before retiring in 1979.  After retirement, Floyd spent countless hours working with AARP, NARFE and Silver Hair Legislature to improve senior rights and benefits.  He also volunteered with the Huntsville Hospital Mended Hearts program.  He was a member of University Baptist Church for over 50 years, and he was an avid University of Alabama fan.
