Frederick Paul Halbritter, in the presence of his family and pastors, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday November 24, 2015. Frederick P. Halbritter was born in Bellingham, Washington to Otto Kirschman and Lillian Weirauch Kirschman. By the petition of Lillian M. Halbritter - Frederick Paul Halbritter was legally changed to Frederick Paul Halbritter. Donald Halbritter and Lillian M. Halbritter (deceased) brought up Fred with half brothers Ron and Earl. Fred served in the United States Army and retired after 22 years as Lt. Colonel. Fred and Cookie were married for 49 1/2 years. They travelled the world together, and visited all 50 states with their children. Fred was passionate about historical aviation, politics, and a true student of Scripture. He faithfully gathered with other believers for worship, and was active in Bible studies until his death. He is survived by his wife Dorothea Wanda (Cookie), son Markus Paul daughter-in-law Anna, and daughter Fiona Coleen Halbritter. A memorial service is set for December 13, at 4:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church in Huntsville, Alabama. Internment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Grace Lutheran General Fund.
