Mr James William Johnson, age 93 of Huntsville, passed away Monday  at home. A native of Sand Valley, he has resided in Huntsville for the past 25 years.  He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corp.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Johnson and son, Greg Johnson.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his daughter Deborah Howard; two grandchildren, Heather Howard and Hayley Howard; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville.  The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 10:00 - 11:30am.  Funeral services will follow at 11:30am with Rev. Mark Seanor officiating. Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Meals on Wheel and/or First Baptist Church Library.
