Mrs. Janet Winifred (Bissell) Thomas, age 82, of Huntsville,  passed away Friday at a local nursing home. A native of Washington D.C. she has resided in Huntsville for 45 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gearod "Jack" Thomas; son, Mike Thomas; daughter, Debbie Thomas.

Janet  is survived by four sons, David Thomas, and wife Kim, Scott Thomas, and wife Kristi, Wesley Thomas, and Steve Thomas, and wife Yvonne; daughter, Lori Roberson; brother, Bruce Sartwell; sister B.J. DeRuss; eight grandchildren, Kristin, Brian, Mark, Caitlyn, Aaron, Morgan, Kendall, and Jonathon; great-grandson, Zayden; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 until 7:00pm.  Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, in Spry Funeral Home's Chapel with Pastor Sharon Keffer officiating. Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Merdianville.
