Mrs. Jennifer Marie Hardinger, age 40 of Huntsville, left this earth for her heavenly home on Tuesday, July 26.  She opened her eyes in paradise, as her loving family surrounded her at home.

Mrs. Hardinger earned a master’s degree in Criminal Justice at the University of North Alabama, and a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources at Athens State University. She excelled in the field of mental health as a case worker, and her dedication to this calling resulted in her touching the lives of many struggling individuals, helping them to flourish.

Jennifer Hardinger was a gracious, beloved soul who lived her life to help others. Wise beyond her years, Jennifer’s smiling blue eyes saw beyond others’ outward appearance, and gazed intently into their hearts.

A good listener, Jennifer always lifted the spirits of those who had the good fortune to know her. She possessed the rare gift of lighting up any room she entered – and leaving it a happier place than she found it.

Jennifer delighted in having her home filled with family, friends and fur babies. She was skilled in home décor, baking, crafting, and flower gardening.

She was also adventurous, fun-loving and free spirited.  Jennifer relished family outings; traveling and exploring new places; and she was especially fond of lighthouses.

Jennifer Hardinger loved fiercely; cherished life; lived bravely; and stood firm in her convictions. She has been described by her family and friends as a ‘precious, precious soul’ and ‘a true gift’ – who will always be remembered and treasured in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Roy and Virginia Welch; special fatherly inspiration, Bruce Wallace; and beloved pets, Tippy and Jane.

Mrs. Hardinger is survived by her husband, Drew Hardinger; daughter, Katy Frazier; sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Rich Allen; mother, Barbara Wallace; brother John Windsor; aunts and uncles, Yvonne and Chuck Kilpatrick, Peter and Yvonne Welch; nephew, Will Jackson; best friend, Shelly Sills; beloved pets, Daisy and Tarzan; and numerous other family members and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville. No funeral service or visitation is planned. A private ‘Celebration of Life’ memorial is to be held at a future date.
