Joan Frances Aldrich, age 79, of Huntsville died on Wednesday October 7, 2015.

Joan Frances Aldrich, “Just Joan”, was a loving and beautiful wife, mother, and grandmother. She taught the Ladies Sunday School Class at Jackson Way Baptist Church for 38 years. Joan also taught English as a second language to students for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents, George Earl and Frances Evelyn Hardtla; and her son, Billy N. Aldrich.

                Joan is survived by her loving husband, Billy R. Aldrich; her children, Brenda Jean Rolfe, Mark A. Aldrich, Julie Aldrich Lee, and Kenny Aldrich; her twin brother, John Hardtla; her grandchildren, Stephanie DiTommaso, Christopher Aldrich, Amanda Lindsey, Cherice Sanders, Christy Montgomery, and Carrie Bottoni; 13 great grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild.

                Funeral services will be on Sunday at 2pm at Jackson Way Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Cassity officiating. Mrs. Aldrich will lie in state at the church from 1pm until 2pm. Burial will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday October 10th from 5pm until 8pm at Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville.
