SFC(RET) John Martin Johnson, age 72, of Harvest, AL passed away Saturday evening, May 27th, 2017.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Nancy, his brother Joseph Johnson, and brother in law, John Leach of Harvest, Alabama, and his step mother, Mary B. Johnson of Warner Robins, Georgia.  He is also survived by his daughter Kristin Peloquin, and 2 sons John Martin III and Scott Gregory, as well as 4 grandchildren.

John spent his whole life in the service of his country and his family.  John served with distinction for 20 honorable years in the United States Army which included tours in Vietnam, Korea and Germany.  SFC(RET) Johnson touched the lives of so many die to his nature of putting others needs above his own.  He will be sorely  missed.  John had a passion for service to the Boy Scouts of America where he was an Eagle Scout and member of the Order of the Arrow.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Monday, June 5, 2017 at 3:00pm with a memorial service immediately following at 4:00pm.
