Mrs. Marie Dorothy (Lang) Pentecost, age 89 of Huntsville, passed away Friday at a local hospital. A native of Astoria, New York, she has resided in Huntsville for 55 years.  She was a member of St Joseph's Catholic Church for 54 years and a member of The Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary Council 4080.

Mrs. Pentecost is survived by her three daughters, Elizabeth Pentecost, of Alexandria, VA, Christine Hayes, of Huntsville, and Mary Marsh, of Huntsville; son, Mark Pentecost, of Bulverde, TX; five grandchildren, Zachary Marsh, Dana Hayes, Nicholas Marsh, Christopher Pentecost, and Sophia Pentecost, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville.  Mrs. Pentecost will lie-in-state at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 3, from 10:00 until 11:00am.  Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00am with Father Joseph Lubrano officiating.  Interment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St Vincent de Paul Society at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
