Maurice Willis Obituary

Maurice Connely Willis, 89, of Huntsville, Alabama formerly of Sanford, Florida, passed away February 8, 2018. He was born on January 10, 1929 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Maurice and Emma (Orton) Willis. He was a US Naval pilot, a licensed boat captain, a veteran of the Korean War and a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross. He retired as an Engineer from NASA.

He is survived by his children Diane Dibling, Denise (Kent) Mikelson, son-in-law Ron Glombowski, and Michael (Katie) Willis; grandchildren Jessica Cave (Ryan Elmore), Matthew Mikelson, Hannah Mikelson, Jake (Caroline) Glombowski, Jeremy Glombowski, Ben Willis, Meg Willis, Zac Willis, Annie Willis and Seth Willis.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Dana Glombowski.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, Al. The family will receive friends Monday, February 12, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Spry Funeral Home.
