Myra Freeman, 97, of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, passed away, Sunday, January 7, 2018. Myra was born August 22, 1920, in Lacey Springs, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William H. Lowery.  Myra was known for her sense of humor and dry wit.  Myra moved to Fuquay Varina, North Carolina in 2011 to live with her daughter, Peggy and husband, Bill.  She was a beloved wife, mother and granny to her family.  Myra was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Monroe Freeman, son, Albert Monroe Freeman, Jr. (Buddy) and daughter, Peggy Bates, Grandson, David Solomon, and Granddaughter, Sherry Jones.  She leaves behind son in law, William Cecil Bates Jr. (Bill), four grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and eleven great- great grandchildren. She will be missed by all of her loved ones.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, Alabama. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Spry Funeral Home, 2411 Memorial Parkway NW, Huntsville, Alabama 35810. The Family will receive friends one hour (1:30 P.M.) prior to the service.  Interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery, 203 Maple Hill Street, Huntsville, Alabama.
