Mrs. Rachel Hortense (Russell) Watson, age 96 of Huntsville, passed away Monday at a local nursing home.  She was a lifelong member of the Church of God.  She was a loving mother and caregiver to many.

She was preceded in death by her husband, of 63 years, J.M. “Billy” Watson

She is survived by her son, Gary (Margaret) Watson; two daughters, Patricia Dycus and Peggy (James) Sharp; sister, Shirley Boudousquie; eight grandchildren, Lisa, Keith, Michele, Nicole, Derek, Diane, Dee Dee, and Andy; sixteen great-grandchildren; great-great-granddaughter; and nieces, nephews, and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family will receive friends Wednesday 5:00 until 7:00pm.  Funeral service will be Thursday at 11:00am with Steve Spray officiating.  Interment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
