Raymond William McElyea, 85, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away September 7, 2017. He was born on May 31, 1932 in Huntsville, Alabama to Murphy and Nanny (Clark) McElyea.

He is survived by his wife Ann McElyea; sons Steve (Evon) McElyea and Anthony McElyea; daughter Rita Vinson; granddaughters Kelly (Justin) McElyea Sharp, Erin McElyea, Amy (Brandon) Hunter, and Breana (Jordan) Spain; and great-grandchildren Trent Sharp, Lyla Sharp, and Cailyn Hunter.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, Alabama. The family will receive friends at Spry Funeral Home on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.  Funeral services will be Sunday, September 10, 2017 in the Spry Funeral Home Chapel.
