Rita Jean Bell passed away at Huntsville Hospital on July 1, 2017.  Rita was born on April 25, 1946 to Lyle and Evelyn Baker of Whitmore Lake, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her adoring husband, Gerald F. Bell, brother John Baker and sisters Darlene Novice and Judy Carlson.

Rita is survived by her three children, Stephen (Gretchen) Bell of Huntsville, Randy (Nicole) Bell of Priceville, and daughter Wendy (Jonathan) Ryan of Vinemont, 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two spunky, sassy, silly sisters Barbara Cook of Brighton, Michigan and Debra (Tom) Szegda of Whitmore Lake, Michigan, and sister Kay Baker of Fort Pierce, Florida and brother Lyle (Jean) Baker of Ann Arbor, Michigan along with a host of beautiful nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for Rita will be  held on Sunday, July 2, at 12:00 pm at the family home in Gurley, Alabama. A graveside service for immediate family will be held at a later date.
