Robert Boyce Barkley, 68, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in Gadsden, AL. Mr. Barkley is a veteran of The United States Army.He was a lover of music, The Great Smokey Mountains, banana pudding, and a die hard Alabama football fan. Mr. Barkley was a proud recovered alcoholic of 35 years where he influenced and aided many others in recovery.

He is survived by his son Robert Barkley, daughter Carmella Sheppard Whitehead, grandsons; Jacob James Whitehead and Graham Sheppard Whitehead, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home were the family will receive friends on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 11:00am until 12:00pm with services starting at 12:00pm in the Spry Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the chapel services in Maple Hill Cemetery.
