Mr. John Wayne Mardis, age 79 of Huntsville, passed away Monday at a local hospital.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Frank.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline Mardis; two sons, Ricky Mardis, and wife Joan, and Byrom Mardis, and wife Tracy; daughter, Karen McBride; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the friends will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm.  Mr. Mardis will lie-in-state Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at University Church Nazarene. Service will follow at 2:00 pm with Dr. John Lancaster officiating.  Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.
