Mavis Elaine Watson, age 68, of Huntsville, died on Tuesday July 21, 2015.

Mrs. Watson is preceded in death by her father, Owen Whisenant.

Mrs. Watson is survived by her husband Jimmy Watson; her children, James E. Watson III, Ricky Wayne Watson, Cecil Ray Watson, Ronnie Lee Watson, and Frances Campbell; her mother, Rachel Stringer; her brother, Marion Whisenant; her sisters Jan Whisenant and Juanita Goodman; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mark Brown, Chris Kelly, Jeremy Jones, Tyler Thompson, Brent Wilburn, and David Fox.

Funeral services will be on Friday July 24, 2015 at 1pm in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville with Lon Ostrzycki officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on that day from 11am until 1pm at the funeral home.
