Janet Kay Sampson, a resident of Madison, Alabama, passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 64. Known to her family and friends as Kay, she was born in Gary, Indiana on August 22, 1959, and moved to Huntsville as a young child.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Shirley Sampson. She is survived by her sister, Lisa Alverson and brother-in-law, Wayne Alverson including nieces and nephews: Josh, Leah, Matt and Kelsey. Her great nieces and nephews: Addie, Violette, Aspen, Kash and Ryker.
She was born with a disability but never let it overcome her. Kay attended the ARC of Madison County for many years and enjoyed her friends and teachers. She made friends everywhere she went with her sky blue eyes and happy smile. Kay loved listening and dancing to Elvis, Alabama football and spending time with her family. If the team playing wore a red jersey, then it was, “Go Alabama!”
Kay is now our Angel watching over us and will be deeply missed by everyone that knew her.
In Lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be given to the ARC of Madison County.
