William Armstrong Obituary

William Henry Armstrong, 89, of Harvest, AL, passed away March 15, 2024. William was born on January 6, 1935 to Thomas Howard Armstrong and Stella Louise (Smithers) Armstrong.

William graduated from Amarillo High School in 1953. After high school, he attended Kansas University where he played football, next he received his undergraduate from Wichita University, and lastly he received his Master's in Engineering from University of Alabama Huntsville. He would go on to use his degree and work as an engineer in the aerospace industry for Boeing and Lockheed. William was an avid woodworker and spent his past time building furniture for his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Ruth Armstrong; daughters, Angela, Patrice, and Annette; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two sisters Barbara and Beverly.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Valley View Memorial Gardens. Services are in care of Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville.
