Betty Jo Spann

Betty Jo Spann, age 88, of Birmingham and a native of Huntsville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Mrs. Spann is preceded in death by her husbands, J L Whitt and Lavon Spann. She was a member of Calvary Bible Church and the Awana Clubs for over 30 years and was retired from the Department of Defense at Redstone Arsenal after 34 years of service.

Mrs. Spann is survived by her children Mary Lou Morrison (Jim), John Whitt (Terri), her sibling Faye Timberman (Vern), her grandchildren, Chad Morrison (Karyn), Silena Cvacho (Clint), Page Dollar (Jason), Joshua Whitt (Shannon), Nathan Whitt (Jamie), and Rachel Bowling (Dalton) and 17 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Spry Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Dollar officiating. Burial will follow at Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, AL. The family will receive friends from 11am until 12pm with services to follow.
