Brian Patrick Homer of Harvest passed unexpectedly into the loving arms of our Savior on June 22, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Cynthia (Cindy Miles). Beloved father of: Crystal and her husband Matt McCoin of Clarksville, TN; Lincoln Homer of Henderson, NV; Tegan Homer of Harvest, AL; Joshua Homer of NYC, NY; and Nyssa Homer of Kissimmee, FL. Grandfather of Brian and his wife Jennifer Stricklen; L'Aurie and her husband Bryan Caldron; Tyler McCoin; and Piper Homer. Great Grandfather to Reagan Stricklen; Chloe Caldron; and Jackson Stricklen. Brother of Laura and her husband Gary Heebner of MO; Geoffrey Homer of IL; Mark and his wife Kim Homer of FL; and Cindy and her husband Kevin Palmer of IL. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his infant son Patrick Ryan Homer, his parents Patrick and Georgianna (Manak) Homer, and his sister Patricia (Homer) Sopsic.
Brian was an Airforce veteran who served during the Vietnam war. He retired from Sysco Food Services in 2012. He was an avid golfer, loved to cook for his family and friends, and finally he was a dedicated fan of the Chicago Cubs. Brian served the Lord as a member of Madison Assembly of God Church.
Services will be held at Madison Assembly of God, 1475 Hughes Rd., Madison, AL on Saturday June 29, 2019. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM followed by memorial service at 2:00 PM. Pastor Daniel Dean will officiate his services.
