Charles M. Jennings

Charles M. Jennings, age 93 of Meridianville, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018. He was born September 23, 1924 to Charles and Maude Howard Jennings in Cherokee County, AL. He was the former police chief of New Hope for more than 30 years.

Mr. Jennings is survived by his children Brenda Day and Charles (Barbara) Jennings; grandchildren: Phillip (Nadja) Hamilton, Diane (Steve) Pruitt, Donna (Steven) Pike, Jason Hamilton, Tammy (Kevin) Cooper and Cristy (Keith) Caruso; eleven great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and special friend Max Weaver. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Jennings and daughter Glenda Hamilton.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Spry Funeral Home. Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 pm at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
