Dale Markin Obituary

Dale Edward Markin of Huntsville, AL passed away on May 21, 2019 after a brief fight with cancer.  Dale was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and wonderful friend. He was born in Springfield, OH to Lewis and Edna Markin.  He joined the Army, then worked for Redstone Arsenal in the Provost Marshall Office, Criminal Investigations Branch and retired in 2008. 

Dale was an avid bowler; he participated in many leagues in Huntsville and bowled a perfect 300 game in 2018. 

Dale is survived by his wife Margaret Markin; his children Steve Blair and Laura Bargatze and their spouses Renee Blair and Nate Bargatze; grandchildren Katelyn Meadows, Kara Byers, Kyle Blair, and Harper Bargatze; great grandchildren Liam Meadows, Mason Meadows; sisters, Karen Stout, Debbie Markin, and brother Chris Markin; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Carol Simpson. 

There will be two visitations, the first Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Spry Funeral Home from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm.  Then also a visitation will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Friday, May 24, 2019 from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm.  

He will be buried at Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.

Dale, “Pop”, will always be remembered for his kindness and helpfulness to others. He was humorous and had a fun-loving nature.
