David Lindon Balentine

David Lindon Balentine, age 75, of Florence, Alabama passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 surrounded by family.

Bay, as he was fondly known was born August 31, 1943 in Florence, Alabama to James Joel Balentine and Eva Blair Austin Balentine.

Bay was the father of Amy Balentine (Elizabeth Dubberley) and Becky Balentine Reed (Rusty Reed)  He was the proud grandfather of W. William Reed III and Elijah David Reed also Dakota Marie Reed.

Bay is survived by many friends and family,  his brother Thomas "Sonny" Balentine and Dorothy Balentine, nephews and niece.

Bay was preceded in death by his parents Joel and Eva Balentine, Mary Gwendolyn Bell (Thurmon), and his nephew Barry Balentine all of Florence.

Bay was a heavy equipment operator and served in the Alabama National Guard.

Bay's only request was to take care of his little dog Sassy.

Bay will be remembered by his quick wit and crooked smile, also his love for his animals and of course Alabama Football.
