David Jospeh Eiermann

David Joseph Eiermann, age 88 of Huntsville, passed away Monday, July 1, 2019. He was born June 10, 1931 to Milton and Lillian Eiermann in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mr. Eiermann was a combat veteran in the Army, wounded in Korea and received a purple heart and he was also a veteran of the Vietnam War, which he served in 1969 and received a bronze star. He retired from the military in 1976 and worked another 20 years for the civil service before retiring completely in 1996. Mr. Eiermann loved his family and the outdoors and was a big supporter of Vietnam Veterans of America and Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his children Don Eiermann (Sheila) and Debra Thompson (Charlie); grandchildren: Joey Eiermann (Caroline), Blake Eiermann, C. D. Thompson and Rachel Savering (Rick); and great grandchildren: Lucy Savering, Dylan Savering and Mazie Savering. He was preceded in death by his wife Jutta Eiermann.
