He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jean (McGuire) Gluck of California; his father, Edward Thomas Gluck of New York; three brothers Edward Damian Gluck of Florida; Daniel Gluck of Maryland; Dale Gluck of California.

Denis was born on November 8,1951 to Edward Thomas Gluck and Betty Jean (McGuire) Gluck in Far Rockaway, New York. As a child, Denis grew up in the Catholic Church and attended St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic School.  Denis then attended both Brooklyn Technical High School and Far Rockaway High School. At 17, he became a Navy Corpsman where he came to the medical aid of many Marines while serving multiple tours in Vietnam. Post his service to his country, Denis moved back to New York where he became a carpenter for the City of New York.  Denis then married Deborah Faulkner and over the next few years, Denis and Debbie welcomed two children into their home, Caroline and Laurie. They focused on teaching them how to serve others and give back to their communities. His children remember him as a father who not only encouraged them to pursue their goals, but to challenge themselves at the highest level.  Later in life, Denis and his family moved to Huntsville, Alabama. Denis later met his significant other, Angie, who shared his love of Alabama football and animals. Denis also enjoyed spending time with her daughter, Kyra. Professionally, Denis was accomplished at carpentry and he often stated that he loved sharing the same profession as Jesus. He regularly volunteered at Manna House where he used his knowledge of the Spanish language to help many less fortunate people. He was a generous and witty individual who loved people and who was passionate about changing the world and educating others.

A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, November 24 at Hope Presbyterian Church at 2:00pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Denis' life.
