Doris Ramey, 85, of Huntsville passed away Friday at her residence. 

Mrs. Ramey was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Ramey; her parents, Coy and Willie Thompson; her siblings, Iva Ruth Kinzalow, Francis Bowerman, Alvin Thompson, and Jimmy Thompson; and her precious grandchild, Matthew Ramey.

Survivors include her children, Rosemary Reeder (Jerry), Susan Stone (Jimmy) of Huntsville, Steve Ramey (Regina) of Cookeville, TN, Andy Ramey (Lorraine) of Cumming, GA; her brother, George Thompson and sister-in-law Irene Thompson of Vonore, TN; her grandchildren, Jenny Cruther and Heather Gentry (Billy) of Huntsville, Tasha Koumaris (Nicholas) of Los Angeles, CA; Ben Ramey of Cookeville, TN, Beth and Jake Ramey of VA, and Melanie Ramey of Berkeley, CA; her great grandchildren, Zoe and Sadie Crutcher, Sofia Gentry of Huntsville, Everleigh and Isla Koumaris of Los Angeles, CA.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Sunday, July 9 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.  A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 10:00 am at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
