Eythel “Tincy” Hopkins Goodwin, age 88, from New Market, AL passed peacefully on 17 October 2017. 

Mrs. Goodwin was a 1946 graduate of New Market High School. She worked in retail most of her life and retired from JCPenney in 1995 after 32 years. She enjoyed working in her yard and flowerbeds, doing puzzles, visits from her granddogs, and watching Wheel of Fortune. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Muril Goodwin and her brothers and sisters whom she loved dearly.

She is survived by her daughter Gay N. (Lynn) Broad of Huntsville, AL; son Tom (Linda) Goodwin of Saint John, IN.; grandchildren Jeanette Watson, Janeen (Mike) May, Joanna (Jeff) White, Lyndsay (David) Abel of Huntsville, T.J. Goodwin, Amanda Goodwin of Saint John, IN, and Katie Broad of Woodside, NY; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be Sunday, 22 October 2017, at Spry Funeral Home in Huntsville, AL, from 12:00 - 2:00 pm with the service immediately following at 2:00pm.  Burial will be after the Service at Rice Cemetery on Winchester Road in New Market, AL.

In lieu of flowers the family asks you consider making a donation to the Hospice & Home Health Fund of Alabama.
