Flint Smithey Obituary

Flint Waylon Smithey age 56 of Huntsville, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2020. He was born November 1, 1963 to Waylon and Maxine Smithey in Pulaski, TN. Flint was named after the Flint River beside which he lived. He was a construction worker and was active in the Civil Air Patrol in Birmingham for many years.

Mr. Smithey is survived by his father Waylon Smithey of Huntsville; sisters: Janna Owens of Birmingham, Julia Williams of Huntsville, Paula Rogers of Columbiana and Aloha Smithey of Huntsville; nephews: Adam Irby, Kevin Irby, Christopher Martin and Cody Owens all of Birmingham and nieces: Alanna Weems of Birmingham, Jennifer Weems of Birmingham and Amber Williams of Grant. He was preceded in death by his mother Maxine Hopkins Smithey.

The family will have a memorial service at a later time.
