Frank Gordon Christa

Frank G. Christa, 73, of Huntsville, passed away peacefully January 6, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his son Frankie D. Christa; mother, Francis Christa; father, Paul Christa; step-mother, Ruth Christa; and brother, Robert Christa.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret Pauline Christa, daughter Paula Reanee Onder (Alex), son Tracy Dean Christa (Cathy); brothers Willie Christa (Sue) and Joe Christa (Louise); five grandchildren Amanda Pickens (Scott), Michael Onder (Margie), Benjamin Christa, Elizabeth Christa, and Jacob Christa; and three great-grandchildren Christa Pickens, Bella-Kate Pickens, and Shepard Onder.

Mr. Christa was born in Huntsville, AL. He enjoyed spending his summers camping on Guntersville Lake and spending quality time with his family. He retired from the City of Huntsville in 1995.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Spry Funeral Home. Mr. Christa’s service will be Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Spry Funeral Home at 2:00 pm and the burial will follow immediately at Rice Cemetery.
