Frank Thomas Desta, 69, of Huntsville AL was born Sept 25, 1948 and passed away surrounded by his family after a hard fought battle with cancer on Sept 27, 2017.

Frank is survived by his wife, Victoria Desta; two sons, James Desta and Dominick Desta; daughters RaeAnn Testi and Marissa Bootes; granddaughters Rayven Desta and Alexis Bootes; and grandson Aiden Stewart in Huntsville. Frank is also survived by his siblings Jeanne Lundell, Lynn Akerley, Richard Testi, John Testi, Vern Testi, Milton Simmons, and Debbie Rainey. Frank is currently in heaven with his parents, Frank E. Testi and Vernita J. Kyle Testi, as well as his sister Vernita J. Testi-Kosiorek.

Frank enlisted and served as a communications specialist in the US Navy from 1969 – 1974. He was stationed in the Mediterranean on an aircraft carrier. He was honorably discharged after serving his country and went on to the next chapter in his life which was his family.

Frank lived his life selflessly and brought nothing but his best to the table. He was a very loving and caring husband, father, and brother. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his loved ones. His humor and wisdom will never be forgotten by those who were fortunate enough to know him. We wish you could’ve stayed with us but it’s clear God needed you there.

Memorial services for Frank will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Central Presbyterian Church located at 406 Randolph Ave, Huntsville, AL 35801. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am and the service will be held at 11:00 am.

Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to Clearview Cancer Institute.
