Hazel Louise Rogers, 70, of Huntsville, AL, joined her Lord and Savior on April 24, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan Ites and Mary Louise Morgan. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Charles Rogers, Jr.; her two daughters and their spouses, Yvette and Kenneth Bogart and Yvonne and Thomas Meier; five grandchildren, Kiefer Sullivan, Brooke and her husband Jake Bright, Ryan Meier, Tiffany Meier, and Bryson Bogart; and one great grandchild, Alexis Bright.
Hazel was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 15, 1948. She lived a life that embodied love, faith, and commitment to her family. She enjoyed Motown music, dancing, and her favorite musician was Elvis Presley. Hazel loved the movie Grease featuring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. When relaxing at home she watched several game shows and Walker Texas Ranger on television. She enjoyed passing the time walking, reading on her Kindle, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Spry Funeral Home, 2411 Memorial Parkway N.W., Huntsville, AL 35810 on Monday, April 29, 2019. Family and friends can attend the funeral service for Mrs. Rogers at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 625 Airport Road SW, Huntsville, AL 35802 on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. Viewing will be from 8:00 to 10:00 AM and the service will begin at 10:00 AM. The burial will take place at Moon Cemetery, Cave Spring Road, Owens Cross Roads, AL 35763. A reception will follow at 1:30 PM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church Parish Hall.
