Irby Lee Baker

Irby Lee Baker, age 80, passed away May 12, 2018. He was born on September 16, 1937 in Fort Payne, Alabama in DeKalb County to parents Elby and Gertrude (Adams) Baker.

He is preceded in death by his grandson Adam Lee Ventress and brother Veron Baker.

He is survived by his spouse of 50 years an mother of his children, Lillian A. Baker. He is also survived by his children Helen Ventress Sharp, Lora Lee Dunn, and James Dewey Baker; sons-in-law Bobby George Dunn and Randy Sharp; grandchildren Miranda Lee Dunn, Kenneth Howard Dunn, Charles Wilburn Ventress, Colin David Baker, Anna Ryleigh Dunn; granddaughters-in-law Kayla Dunn and Candice Ventress; great-grandchildren Grant Ventress, Adalee Dunn, Nolan Ventress, and Southerlyn Ventress; and brothers Daniel Baker and Jimmy Baker.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, Alabama. The family will receive friends at Spry Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Barry Faulk officiating.
