Jason Gerard Roop

Jason Gerard Roop, 46 of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by is loved ones on December 14, 2018.

Jason loved watching his boys on the baseball field and basketball court. He loved Alabama football and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen Roop; his most precious possessions, his sons, Dillion Jordan Roop and Bryan Austin Roop; his mother, Mary Sue Roop; his father-in-law and wife, Luis and June Torres; brothers, Jerry Roop, Randy (Andrea) Roop, and Raymond (Michalle) Roop; sister, Barbara Ayala; and a host of nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Roop and grandparents, Dave and Madeline Lockhart and Lethal Marie and Frank Roop.

Pallbearers will be Dillion Roop, Bryan Roop, Justin Roop, Jacob Roop, Mike Lambert, Darin Carter, and JJ Roop.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, Alabama. Visitation will be held Monday, December 17, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Service will be Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 2:00pm with Dr. Tommy Bolan officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.

Carmen, Dillion, and Bryan would like to thank everyone for all the food, donations, and prayers during Jason’s illness. We have been blessed by all the outpouring of love and support.
