Jo Ann (Young) Bates

Jo Ann Bates age 62 of Lacey's Spring, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019. She was born June 17, 1957 to Ronald Spencer Young and Sevenuia Virginia Pitcock in Michigan. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved her chihuahua dogs. She also loved going fishing. She will be remember most by her family as a feisty, strong independent woman and she taught them to be as well.

Mrs. Bates is survived by her children: Brandon Boles (Tina), Kelly Boles (Billy Swafford), Toby Boles (Christy Siniard), Laura Smith and Calvin Jerome; grandchildren: Savannah Ledbetter, Haley Boles, John Boles, Michael Boles, Jaydin Boles, Tori Boles, David Boles and Bryleigh Boles; great grandchildren: Jewel, Nevaeh, D. J.; Deuce, Crimson, Salem and Alex; sister Lottie Morrison; brother Johnny Young and husband Rich Bates.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 15, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Spry Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 11:30 am at Spry Funeral Home in the chapel. Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.
