Mr. John Thomas Posey, 69, of Hazel Green, AL passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017. He was born on December 27, 1947 to Leslie and Ira Posey in Madison County, Alabama. He married Sandra Rozell Posey on July 6, 1971 and they together had 2 children; Jana Posey McGriff and John Travis Posey. Mr. Posey spent over 30 years working in the auto parts industry.

He is preceded in Death by his parents Leslie and Ira Posey, sister Faye Campbell, and brothers Leslie Posey(Bub), Jimmy Posey, Danny Posey, and Bill Posey.

He is survived by wife Sandra Posey, daughter Jana McGriff (Glen), and son Travis Posey, 5 grandchildren; Destany Posey, Cainan Posey, Cohen Posey, Kaylie McGriff and Will McGriff, 4 Brothers; Bobby Posey, Jackie Posey, Sherman Posey, and Robby Posey.

Pallbearers for Mr. Posey will be Tony Posey, Barry Posey, Dennis Posey, Patrick Cobb, Steven Shaw, and Jonathan Moore.

 Visitation will be held at Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. Services will be held in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home at 2:00pm with burial afterword’s in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
