Joseph Christian Mastrolia

Mr. Joseph Christian Mastrolia, age 76 of Toney, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 after a long illness. He was born September 30, 1942 to Patrick James and Grace Marie Ziegler Mastrolia in Jersey City, New Jersey.  After growing up in NJ, he lived briefly in IL before settling in Oklahoma.  Later in life he moved to FL before finally finding home in AL.  He was a proud father, grandfather, husband, friend, and Marine.  He enjoyed creating expert leathercraft and woodwork, and loved horses.  

Mr. Mastrolia is survived by his 3 daughters, Cheryl, Stacy, and Mary, and one son Joseph, as well as their mother, Theresa Roland.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his favorite horse, Maverick.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Spry Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3:00 pm. Interment will be in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
