Katheline “Kathy” Sue Biniak, 62 of Harvest, Alabama passed away unexpectedly on the morning of April 28, 2019. She was born on August 31, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan to Edward and Germaine (Angyan) Walsh.
Kathy worked for the US Army for 28 years and has built lifelong friendships with many overseas customers in the Republic of Korea as well as Taiwan.
Kathy loved to travel for pleasure, as well as for work and going for rides on the motorcycle. Especially, if it meant going to new places. She was always thoughtful and brought home trinkets for everyone and we loved to hear entertaining stories from all her exciting trips. Growing up in Michigan, Kathy absolutely loved spending time “Up North” no matter what season it was. Her parents had a cottage turned home in Elk Rapids which always was her favorite place to visit. She was raised to cherish family and always put her family first. Her Grandchildren Jovan, Ava, and Carter were her world. Baking with the Grandchildren was always a must for her. She loved spending time outside gardening and “sunning her bones”. She was always someone you could count on and would come running if you needed her!
She is survived by her husband William Biniak; daughters Vanessa (Oliver) Schulte- Smallwood and Emily (Kevin) Dower; grandchildren Jovan Arnold, Ava Dower and Carter Dower; siblings Edward (Anne Marie) Walsh, Karene (Mike) Kimble, David (Robin) Walsh, Carolyn Walsh and sister in law Nancy Walsh; Aunt Suzanne Angyan and numerous extended family members.
She is preceded in death by parents Edward and Germaine Walsh and Brother William Walsh.
Kathy touched many lives and will be missed by all.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, Alabama. Visitation will be Friday, May 3, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 11:00 am.
