Mary Virginia (Walls) Pinkerton

Mary Virginia (Walls) Pinkerton, age 90 of Big Cove, passed away Thursday at home.  She was a member of Big Cove Holiness Church.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Lee Pinkerton, Sr; parents, Joe and Stella Walls; two brothers, Bill Walls, Paul Walls; four sisters, Daisy Simmons, Mable Levi, Floy Hindman, and Opal McGrady.

She is survived by her two sons, David Pinkerton, Jr. and wife Linda and Larry Pinkerton, and wife Deborah; five brothers, Troy Walls, Roy Walls, and wife Judy, Billy Ray Walls, Wayne Walls, and wife Sandra, and Maurice Walls, and wife Teresa; two sisters, Stella Steakley, and husband Jimmy, and Loretta Walls, four grandchildren, Todd Pinkerton, and wife Jennifer, Tad Pinkerton, Alison Gamble, and Heather O'Neal; eight great grandchildren, Ashlea Brown and husband Kyle, Hilary Gamble, Brandon Pinkerton, and wife Abigail, Garrett Pinkerton, Kelsey O'Neal, Eric Gamble, Ethan Pinkerton, and Laken O'Neal; two great-great grandchildren, Oakleigh and Parker Brown; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville where the family will receive friends Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.  Mrs. Pinkerton will lie in state from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Big Cove Holiness Church.  Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Bro Mark Warren and Bro Josh Trotman officiating.  Interment will follow at Green Valley Cemetery in Big Cove.
