Nellie M. Meaux LeBas passed away on October 6, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel LeBas.

Nellie is survived by her children: Phillip LeBas (Susan), Pamela LeBas Rideout (Dennis), Lisa LeBas and Mary LeBas Blanchard (Rob), grandchildren Scott LeBas(Nicole), John Rideout (Alicia), Carl Rideout and Sarah Blanchard, and three great grandchildren.

Nellie was an active member at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Church and at St. Mary of the Visitation Church holding several positions on the Parish Council, the Liturgy and Education Committee, and Preschool Coordinator. She was also the principal of St. Mary’s School for 2 years. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels and the Mental Health Day Treatment Birthday Project.

 In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Holy Family School or the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00am on October 13, 2017 at Saint Mary’s of the Visitation Catholic Church, 222 Jefferson Street N, Huntsville, AL with a Mass to follow at 11:00 am. Burial will follow the services at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
