Nolan Thomas Lee

Mr. Nolan Thomas Lee, age 82 of Gurley, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019. He was born December 20, 1936 to Nolen “Bud” Lee and Mauline Hawkins Lee in Madison County, AL. He loved his family, work and Alabama football. He was a member of Wears Chapel Baptist Church and a U. S. Army Veteran.

Mr. Lee is survived by his wife of 37 years Carolyn Lee; sons: Greg Lee (Debbie), Rodney Turner (Carol) and Jason Turner (Kim); daughter Susan Hutchens (Patrick); grandchildren: Josh, Sarah, Jordan, Rebekah, Jarrett, Kelsey, Coby, Walker and Kane; four great grandchildren; sisters Nancy Boldog (Alex) and Patsy Green (Cecil); brother Johnny Lee (Lela) and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Melvin Lee and Donna Lee; and brothers Billy “Snake” Lee and Bobby Lee.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm at Spry Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in Pleas Mount Cemetery in Gurley, AL. Pallbearers will be Aron Boldog, Sandor Boldog, Dustin Sutton, Kevin Truett, Kyle Lee and Logan Tuett; honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Tidmore.
