Patrick Thomas Nesbit

Patrick Thomas Nesbit, age 70 of New Market, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL. He was born October 9, 1948 in Granite City, IL, the son of Thomas and Mary Sue (Richardson) Nesbit.

Patrick married Paula (Hilliard) on April 2, 2016 at Visitation Catholic Church in Huntsville, AL. Patrick Retired from Redstone Arsenal in 2016 and served in the U. S. Navy. He was an avid Alabama Football fan, Roll Tide!

He was of the Catholic Faith and a member of St. Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church in Huntsville, AL.

He is survived by his wife; his children: Lisa (husband Kirk) Thompson of Granite City, IL, Laura Stout of Toney, AL and Rev. Jason Nesbit of Bourbonnais, IL and stepdaughter Shannon Wright of Madison, AL; his grandchildren: Jonathan (wife Amanda) Nesbit of Collinsville, IL, Kathryn (husband Troy) Howell of Spring Hill, TN, Carole Ann Stout of Toney, AL, Matthew Thompson of Granite City, IL, and Aaliyah, Zachary , Gracie and Braxton all of Madison, AL; his great grandchildren: Gavin, Elijah and Cooper; sisters, Judith Miller (husband Jim Fortae) and Rhonda (husband Mike) Rother both of Granite City, IL; brother, Samuel (wife Jodi) Nesbit of Granite City, IL; and sister in law, Charlotte Nesbit of Surprise, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brothers, George Michael Nesbit and Thomas Nesbit.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 22, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Spry Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church, 222 Jefferson St. N., Huntsville, AL. Inurnment will be at St. Anthony's Columbarium in Fayetteville, TN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
