Phyllis Joy (Armstrong) Blount

Mrs. Phyllis Joy Blount, 73, of Harvest, AL passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019. She was born September 1, 1945 in Blue Island, Illinois to Felix Armstrong and Jewell (Judy) Goode, both of whom are deceased.  She was married to Edward Richard Blount, Jr., on August 7, 1976, in Nashville, Tennessee and primarily worked in the field of government procurement before retiring several years ago.  She was a member of Ford's Chapel United Methodist Church in Harvest, Alabama. 

She is survived by her husband Edward Blount Jr. , two sons; Edward Richard Blount, III and Ryan Gregory Blount, as well as six grandchildren, Abbie and Jacob Blount, and Evan, Audrey, Brock, and Gabrielle Blount.

Funeral service's will be held at Ford's Chapel United Methodist Church in Harvest, Alabama, on Wednesday, July 31, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Blount officiating. There will be a visitation with the family at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m.
