Richard Edward Kendall

On Monday, August 27th 2018, Richard Edward Kendall of Madison passed away at the age of 68.

Throughout his life, Rick enjoyed a deep love of history, firearms, fishing and crossword puzzles/cryptograms in the newspaper.

In his retirement years he enjoyed planting and growing bonsai trees, studying the Japanese culture, growing hot peppers and enjoying fast cars. Rick's passion for his hobbies was only surpassed by his love and devotion to his family, where he provided for their every need. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Kendall is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Claudean S. Kendall and father Robert L. Kendall and his brothers, Gerald R. and Robert G. Kendall. Richard is survived by his daughter Sarah Kendall (David) Galloway, his mother, Mary Kendall of Anderson, SC, his siblings, Linda (Wayne) Martinez of Austin, TX, Joe (Jodie) Kendall of McMinnville, TN, John Kendall of Charleston, SC, Dan (Jacqui) Kendall of Jupiter, FL and Mary Beth Kendall of Anderson, SC and sister-in-law, Catherine Kendall of Nashville, TN.

The family will receive friends at Spry Funeral Home in Huntsville on Thursday August 30, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held Friday August 31, 2018 at Spry Funeral Home in Huntsville at 2:00 pm with Deacon Greg Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Huntsville Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Russel Hill Cancer Foundation.
