Robert Lewis Obituary

Robert Gaylord Lewis, 73, of Madison, AL passed away on June 19, 2019 surrounded by family.

He was born August 25, 1945 in Vermillion, South Dakota.

After serving in U.S. Navy from 1963-1966 as a sonarman and fire control technician on the DD703 USS Wallace L. Lind, he pursued a lifelong career in computer software development.

Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Booth Lewis, his parents Robert Vernon and Mildred Larson Lewis, and brothers Gaylord “Lew” Lewis and Bruce Lewis.
He is survived by one brother, James Lewis; four sons, Michael, son of Mildred, and Daniel, Robert “Bobby”, and Matthew, sons of Ms. Beth Decker Lewis; eight grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

The Lewis Family will observe a Private Memorial at a later date.
