Sam Kenneth Judge

Sam Kenneth Judge, age 77 of New Market, Alabama passed away March 2, 2019. He was born on June 10, 1941 in Scottsboro, Alabama to Sam and Lucy (Miller) Judge.

He was preceded in death by parents Sam and Lucy Judge; sisters Allie Lee Hayes, Sally Dixon, Pearl Gipson, and Vera Prince; brothers Baby Boy Judge and Davey Joe Judge; and grandson Monty Turnage.

He is survived by his wife Jeanne Judge; sons Alan Judge (Dana) and David Judge; daughters Ruth Turnage (Al) and Deborah Stone (Stanley); and grandchildren Nathan Judge (Kelsey), Caleb Judge, Caroline Judge, Joseph Judge, Tyler Turnage, Alexis Fitzsimmons, Taylor Fitzsimmons, and Shaun Blizzard; great-granddaughter Addison Judge; sisters Sybil Hartvigsen, Carolyn Carden, Martha Tolen, and Dixie Swafford.

Loved and loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was the patriarch of his family and active member of New Market United Methodist Church.

He served his country in the United States Air Force for 22 years, where he worked with the Minute Man Missile Cable System. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant and then actively served his country as a civilian at Teledyne and Brown for twelve years. In later years he was partner with brother and sons in Judges Lawncare and then Riverton Nursery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, Alabama. Family will receive friends at Spry Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 11:00 am at New Market Methodist Church on Hurricane Road in New Market, Alabama.
