Sandra Janice (Hill) Hodges

Ms. Sandra Hill Hodges of Huntsville, Alabama passed away at the age of 75 on November 27, 2018.  She is survived by her son Stan Hodges (Megan), her daughter Stacy King (David), her grandchildren Bentley King, Connor King and Mackenzie King, her mother Cecile Hill, and her brother James Stanley “Bo” Hill (Marsha).  She is preceded in death by her father, Bentley Hill.  Sandra was raised in Woodville, Alabama and lived most of her adult life in Huntsville.  She worked as a civilian employee at the Redstone Arsenal for 36 years where she had several different positions throughout her time there.  Her co-workers at the Arsenal were like a second family to her as she made numerous meaningful and lifelong friendships during those years. She was known as Nana to her grandchildren whom she adored and loved spending time with.  Sandra spent her last year and a half fighting pancreatic cancer, therefore, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. 

The family will receive visitors at the Spry Funeral Home from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, November 30, 2018, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 am.  A private graveside service will follow in Woodville, Alabama.
