Sarah “Sallie” Whitaker Kennamer, age 88, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019. She was born December 30, 1930 to James Arthur and Maude Whitaker in Woodville, Jackson County, AL. She was a member of Broad Street Church of Christ in Scottsboro.

Mrs. Kennamer is survived by her son Thomas (Janet) Kennamer; granddaughters Kimberly (Philip) Jones and Alicia (Mitchell) Wilson; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Kennamer and her parents.

The family will have a Celebration of Life at Peter’s Cove Cemetery in Woodville at a later date.
